A New White House

Since politicians feel like they can do whatever they want with the White House, why can’t we? Let’s make some brackets for a new one.

I have 56 presidential sites to visit. Every few days, I’ll four pairs of sites, give you the shimmy, and have you vote on each pair. Winner makes it to the next round. The winner of all 56 sites becomes the new White House of the U.S. (I think.) Criteria is as follows:

  • Function — can it be a residence and a workplace? Can it hold large groups of people? Can it feasibly be the center of the nation?

  • Historical significance/relevance — is it a museum someone built? Was it the house of the president? What happened in the house?

  • Architecture/gravitas — does it look like it could be one of the most important buildings in the U.S.?

Happy voting!
